IMPORTANT – MUST READ
When returning to the UK, whether you are a resident or not, EVERYONE MUST complete a locator form, the link to this form is https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk
The only way to complete this form is online and Border Force Agents will ask upon arrival at the Port if you have completed this form. As it is all completed online they can gain access to this. Failure to complete this form is £1,000 fine.
Current guidelines state that you are only exempt if you are a “Driver of a goods vehicle and other employee of Community Licence Holders.” A Community Licence is issued to International Operators who have a current/valid International Operators Licence.
Under current guidance this Is the only exemption and the driver must have a letter from the employer or a consignment note. Obviously when transporting horses you would not have a consignment note.
As soon as further guidance is received we will update you, but currently you will need to self-isolate for 14 days when returning from International Shows if the show is located in Spain, Belgium or Holland at the current time of writing.
